This is a new course that is one to look out for in future Opens as like its older relative it has carefully been designed to championship standards. The defining feature of both of these courses is the scenery, set in a large area of pine woodland they offer striking views across the countryside.

As well as this the landscaping has been developed to create a truly natural feel. One of the courses other characteristic features is its five tees for each hole, meaning that although it is a long course it can be enjoyed by players of all abilities.

This course is still no pushover though, the greens are very fast and paired with the tricky fairway bunkers and water hazards this is a challenging course to master.
