If the American public believed Ian Poulter was a threat only on the soil of his country, his 2nd place at Player’s Championship held on Sunday was an apparent message that he can do a tremendous job on any stage.
Poulter ended 4 shots behind Henrik Stenson after a 2 under par round of 70, flawed by one bogey on the struggling day of world’s top ranked players at TPC Sawgrass.
The ostentatiously dressed Ian, who, in the past showcased his golfing talent at Rydar Cup paid huge price for earlier mistakes.
“It was a bit frustrating to make those bogeys on the par five on Saturday when everyone seemed to be making birdies. I gave a couple of shots away.”
