Golf Portugal - A Spanish golfer namely Gonzalo Fernandez and Mark Brown of New Zealand got a shared lead on 7 under par 65 in the first round of Ballantine’s championship held on Thursday.
Fernandez, who was the runner up of China Open held last week, scored six birdies along with an eagle 3 on 10th as Brown and he finished strokes ahead of Thongchai Jaidee, a golfer of Thailand and Robert Jan Derkson who is a renowned Dutchman golf player.
Brown has got the major title only once on his European Tour held in India in Johnnie Walker Classic Open.
After sharing lead with Castano, he told reporters, “I did not play golf here last year, so it is my first look at it, I just played steady and nice.”
