Golf Portugal can reveal that Colin Montgomerie, the captain of European Ryder cup is desperate to prove that he still possesses the capability to provide hard competition to golf professionals when he schedules for China Open to be held in Beijing next week.
He is eight times merit winner of European Tour and will hope to head this team to defeat the United States at Wales Celtic Manor to be held next year.
The 45 years old, Briton told reporters, “it is really significant to prove that I still have the capability to compete and it’s very important for all the players to have a sense of respect for their captain.” He further added that, “I would really love to show my fellows and prove to them I have still enough capabilities of winning”.
