Colin Montgomerie, the captain of European Ryder Cup hinted on Wednesday that he will make a request for changes in qualification system of Europe for biennial match to be held next year with United States.
Presently, Europe selects 10 qualifiers and 2 wild cards, and this system has been in operation since the year of 1995 match. However, Colin Montgomerie has always proclaimed that he would want more control of who play golf for him if he were selected the captain of the team.
Colin, the eight time European winner, has also advertised selecting all 12 players of the team only by the captain in the past and expects to beseech for more wild cards when the golf tournament committee of Europe meet at Irish Open to be held next month.
