Butch Harmon Coaching Tiger Woods
Golf Portugal Reports: Tiger Woods ex-coach believes that his stunt in soldiering on to win last years US Open after sustaining an injury could destroy his chances of beating the current record of 18 major title held by Jack Nicklaus.
Woods, 34, continued to complete the US Open with a broken bone and damage to the cartilage on his knee, and long term, could have cost his career more than a win at the Open. “It’s either the most phenomenal feat ever in the game of golf or not a very smart thing if he played and he doesn’t come back healthy,” said Harmon.
Woods is expected to return in April, however it could be up to 18 months until his injury is fully repaired and with the latest addition to the Woods family, Tiger may well choose to extend his time off to spend time with his new child.
