Justin Leonard, three times winner of the event and Paul Goydos, an American Golfer, at Texas Open has shared the lead in first round on Thursday after scoring 7 under 63 at Resort house of La Cantera Golf Club in San Antonio.
Paul took the maximum advantage of calm morning environment to score 6 birdie in a dazzling front 9 -29, while Justin ended with birdies on 4 of last 6 holes for bogey free, 7 under par round later in the day.
Leonard who equaled Arnold’s Hatrick of titles of Texas Open in the year of 2007 is attempting to become the 1st player to got the event title four times.
“Just a great start and then I had a very nice finish today”, said Leonard, champion of British Open 1997.
