Zach Johnson, a US golfer, rolled in twelve foot birdie putt to get the 1st sudden death hole playoff against James Driscoll and effectively secured Texas Open Title being held in San Antonio on Sunday.
Johnson tied with Driscoll on the score 265 at resort house of La Cantera Golf Club, got the win with a 6 iron technique from 166 yards on 18th green into the wind.
Driscoll lost a birdie putt after his approach 25 ft from the cup to give up the title and one million amount to US Masters 2007 Champion Johnson.
“Down the stretch there, I hit quality shots the last three holes,” he told reporters, “Really Good shots. And when you are in contention, all I want to do is trust your numbers and trust your clubs, and I did that.”
