Wellington, The PGA Championship of New Zealand is looking for a new sponsor for the event after HSBC came to a decision not to renew the agreement, as revealed by Tournament Organizer on Friday.
The biggest bank of Europe had been the major sponsor of event for about past 3 years, but concluded against renewing the contract after evaluating its sponsorship portfolio.
According to marketing and sales manager for tournament organizers namely Mike Godinet, “The sponsorship term was for three years and we had been in discussion with them with the knowledge that the contract terms was coming up”.
He also added further that, “The discussions with Banking authorities has revealed it had been renewing its global sponsorship portfolio which was confirmed by the company in a statement”.
