South Korea, Thongchoai of Thailand has won the championship of Ballantine on Sunday after defeating Kang Sung Hoon of South Korea and Gonzalo Fernandez on the 1st hole of playoff.
Aged 39 years, Thongchaoai grabbed his 4th European tour title when he scored a birdie on par 4 eighteenth, the 1st hole of playoff at about 2 million dollars tournament. After winning his 12th Title of Asian Tour, shared his happiness with reporters in a press conference and said, “When we got to playoff, I very well knew that I would stand a good chance as I had just finished playing that hole about 15 minutes ago”.
Castano Fernandez lost his chance in playoff when his 2nd shot went behind the green.
