Padraig Harrington will strive to get the title of successive Open Championship to be held on Turnberry course on July. This Turnberry course has been increased in length by about 250 yards since it last hosted the tournament nearly 15 year ago. The biggest change in its distance approaches par 5, 17th; the hole which Nick Price eagled with 50 foot as he fixed Jesper Parnevik in the year of 1994.
This golf course has been stretched to about 559 yards from 498 yards and three bunkers have been also added to it.
The biggest change has been done at 16th, the straight hole of 410 yards have been lengthened to 455 yards around newly built hollows and dunes making playing in green a challenge.
