Quinta do Peru
Welsh boys rendered their best young golfing aptitude a real run for money on last week’s trip to Lisbon coast. There, they played a two day international match at Quinta Do Peru club.
Wales made a devastating start by losing first three matches with Dale Perry, Luke Jackson, Patric Mullins and pairing of Rhys Pugh and Mike Evans all went down. They got their first point in forth match as Chris Nugent of Fulford’s health and Matthew Moseley of Carmarthan scored a three per two over Francisco Almeida and Miguel Gasper.
Maintaining a 4-2 deflect from side days, the struggle became more tight in singles, however Jackson could not get Wales off a good start because he lost to Raposo one up. However, at the end, it was the team of Portugal who rose as victorious.
