The Tivoli Sintra set in-between the town of Sintra and the impressive Sintra Mountain range. Just over the road from the hotel is the Palácio da Vila, this is one of the best preserved Medieval Mansions in Portugal and much like the rest of this town has a lot of history.
The architecture of the town is nicely offset by the backdrop of the Sintra mountains, which are all part of the Sintra National Park. The whole area has been given World Heritage Site status in recognition of the history and beauty of the town.
The hotel sits well in the town yet provides all the modern facilities that you would expect of a big name city hotel. The décor is nice throughout and all rooms have a balcony as well as air conditioning and satellite TV. The hotel’s Mon Serrate Restaurant provides good national as well as international dishes throughout the day.
As well as this, there are plenty of good small eating-places throughout the town as well. If you are looking for some holiday activities then there is plenty going on in the area, as well as the Estoril Casino down the road and the good beaches there are several very nice golf courses in the area including the Estoril Golf course, which has famously hosted the Portuguese open many times.
