Vila Gale Estoril

Estoril is being promoted as one of Portugal’s leading holiday destinations and it has good facilities for tourists of all types. Just 2 minutes walk from the beach the hotel gives great access for the whole of the Estoril coast area. The rooms are simple but well fitted with comfortable beds and all of the normal facilities including an outdoor swimming pool.

The local area also has many good golf courses so this could be a good base for those looking for a relaxing golf break.

Just down the road from the hotel is the Casino Estoril, which is one of the most popular in Portugal and is said to have been the inspiration for the James Bond novel Casino Royale. If you are not into gambling then the bar has very good live music and is a good place to relax in the evening.

If you want to explore the big city then Lisbon is accessible by the metro service two minutes walk from the hotel, which has regular trains to Lisbon and other towns. Cascais is also just around the bay and is worth visiting for the restaurants and bars, which serve excellent local seafood and have a vibrant nightlife.
